Northrop Grumman completed the 12th test flight of its enhanced wideband networking waveform, a high-data-rate Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (COFDM) digital waveform developed for Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) applications for the Department of Defense. The company tested its upgraded software and software-defined radios to demonstrate airborne, network waveform capabilities. The system is designed to facilitate interoperability, provide seamless delivery of video, voice and data, and support ad hoc formation of scalable networks, according to the company.
