Catcher acquires Vivato

Leesburg, Va.-based Catcher Holdings, a provider of ruggedized hand-held computing platforms, has entered into an agreement to acquire 100% of the common stock of Vivato Networks, a provider of wireless-network infrastructure equipment and services. The combined entity will offer wireless-network infrastructure and multi-functional client platforms combined with standards-based solutions to the military, homeland security, public-safety, municipal and transportation industries. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2007.
