Andrew Corp. wins TETRA contract

Westchester, Ill.-based Andrew Corp. won a contract for Hong Kong’s Mass Transit Railway’s territory-wide radio network. The company will modify the railway’s communications infrastructure in stations, tunnels and other buildings to enable migration of the radio system from a conventional 80 MHz trunk radio system to an 800 MHz TETRA, or terrestrial trunked radio, system.
