APCO opens nominations for public-safety communications awards

The Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials opened nominations for its public-safety communications awards program.

APCO is now accepting nominations for the 2011 Public Safety Communications Awards in the following categories: Telecommunicator of the Year, Communications Center Director of the Year, Line Supervisor of the Year, Radio Frequency (RF) Technologist of the Year, Information Technologist of the Year, Trainer of the Year, and Team of the Year. Winners will receive their awards at the APCO International Annual Conference in Philadelphia in August.

Deadline for nominations is April 1.
