APCO recognized for training standards

The American National Standards Institute has bestowed its American National Standard designation to the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) for APCO’s Minimum Training Standards for Public Safety Communications Training Officers (CTO) program. According to APCO, the standards were developed by its Call Center Standards Committee to create levels of consistency for training officers who provide on-the-job training, as well as to promote the leadership role of the CTO in a public-safety communications center.
