Ontario-based university deploys Aruba wireless solution

Aruba Networks announced that the University of Waterloo, Ontario, has deployed a facilitywide wireless LAN and a security upgrade at its 1000-acre campus. The wireless network includes Aruba’s MMC-6000 multi-service mobility controllers. The initial deployment consists of more than 600 access points located in academic buildings and 500 access points in residence halls. The size of the fully deployed network is expected to exceed 1500 access points, the company said.
