Atlanta ambulance service deploys In Motion mobile communication system

The Metro Atlanta Ambulance Service (MAAS) installed In Motion’s onBoard Mobile Gateway in emergency vehicles to create a vehicle-area network. The network integrates on-board data communications, including medical devices, patient-care records, GPS and dispatch systems, and transmits the data between operations command and field officers. MAAS also deployed the onBoard Mobility Manager that gathers information from vehicles for fleet management, according to In Motion.
