AT&T announced a three-year contract with the city of Seneca, S.C., for the deployment of the company’s Mobile Resource Management service for vehicle tracking. The service wirelessly tracks vehicle location, monitors speed and condition and reports on events within vehicles. According to the company, the service relays vehicle location, speed and other data across the company’s wireless data network and sends it to a secure Web site portal. Data are available to designated city administrators who have access to a Web browser.
