BearCom invests in automated license plate recognition equipment

BearCom, a provider of wireless-communications equipment, has signed an agreement with PIPS Technology which gives BearCom the rights to sell PIPS’ line of automated license plate recognition equipment for the public-safety market. The technology enables a single officer to remotely read and check license plates against databases, according to BearCom.
