Boeing tweaks Air Force GPS system

Boeing Co. has been selected to participate in the development of the next-generation global positioning system (GPS) ground system for the U.S. Air Force, dubbed the OCX. According to the company, the system offers a positioning service system, anti-jamming capabilities and interoperability across GPS satellite models. Boeing is a subcontractor to Raytheon, which was awarded the $160 million, 18-month contract by the Air Force in November.
