Food supplier incorporates mobile computers, RFID

AmeriQual Group, a producer, packager and distributor of long-shelf-life food products, has deployed Symbol Technologies’ mobile computer, RFID and wireless technologies to track pallets of “meals-ready-to-eat,” or MREs, as they move through the supply chain. AmeriQual is the largest supplier of MREs to the U.S. Department of Defense, according to the company.
