IWCE/MRT Wireless Summit announces keynote speakers

The IWCE/MRT Wireless Summit announced its keynote speakers for the inaugural event that will be held in Charlotte, N.C., next month: Motorola’s Director of Systems Operations Chuck Jackson and Dathan Shows, the director of technical services for the city of Wilson, N.C., who will discuss the pros and cons of using commercial cellular services as the backbone of a public-safety communications network.

General sessions scheduled for the summit will focus on 800 MHz rebanding, nationwide interoperability, use of 700 MHz technologies for public-safety communications and the lessons learned from Hurricane Katrina, among other topics. The summit will be held Nov. 14-15, 2006, at the Hilton Charlotte University Place in Charlotte, N.C. For additional information, visit www.iwce-mrt.com.
