Connecticut to spend $1 million on communications equipment

Connecticut Governor M. Jodi Rell announced that the state is buying $1 million worth of new communications equipment to support the State Tactical On-scene Channel System. Implemented two years ago, the system lets local police chiefs, fire chiefs and emergency-management directors communicate with each other.
