Aug 24, 2007 11:47 AM, - MRT

DataPath recently was awarded a $16 million contract from the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command to develop the National Guard’s nationwide Joint Incident Site Communications Capability (JISCC) system. The system will incorporate Tampa, Fla.-based Fortress Technologies’ certified security solution into its satellite communications base units. The units deliver high bandwidth to local wireless and wired networks, voice-over-Internet protocol telephones, video teleconferencing systems and interoperable handheld radios. The integration of Fortress’ ES520 Secure Wireless Access Bridge solution suite will provide the JISCC system with FIPS-certified, secure wireless communications, according to the company.
