Ecuador’s largest city deploys E911 system

The Corporation of Public Security for Citizens of Guayaquil has awarded Ecuador-based systems integrators Unión Eléctrica a $5 million contract to design and install an E911 center based on Positron Public Safety Systems’ suite of call-handling and desktop-dispatch solutions throughout Guayaquil, the country’s largest city. Unión Eléctrica will install the company’s Power 911, Power CAD, Power MAP, Power MIS, Power AVL, Power RADIO and Sentry systems, according to the company.
