Firetide unveils mesh nodes

Wireless mesh network provider Firetide unveiled the HotPort 6000 indoor and outdoor mesh nodes, which feature a dual-radio backhaul. The radios operate on both licensed and unlicensed bands. When combined, bandwidth for both radios can deliver 70 Mb/s throughput for point-to-point backhaul links for high-resolution video and surveillance networks, according to the company.
