Lightning protector passes RF frequencies

EFM Communications introduced the EFM-30-1000 coaxial lightning protector, which has a gas tube and a high-pass filter circuit with a DC-blocking capacitor. The protector passes RF frequencies from 30 to 1000 MHz while lightning-strike frequencies are diverted to the ground and blocked from reaching the equipment, according to the company.
