Hospital adopts wireless tracking software

Patient Care Technology Systems announced that the 741-bed Long Beach Memorial Medical Center and Miller Children’s Hospital in Long Beach, Calif., has deployed the company’s Amerlior ORTracker, an automatic tracking software used to locate, track and orchestrate the flow of patients, staff and mobile medical equipment. The software integrates data collected from wireless patient and asset badges and sensors using an active RFID network throughout the hospital, according to the company.
