Nordic ID announces RFID device

Salo, Finland-based Nordic ID launched the PL3000 UHF device, a handheld computer with a long-range UHF RFID reader. It uses the European radio frequency band with RFID reading technology, weighs 1.5 pounds and runs on a Windows CE 6.0 operating system. It is compatible with WLAN, Bluetooth, GSM and GPRS, according to the company.
