In-building wireless system lets residents access Internet

Proxim Wireless’ ORiNOCO broadband wireless access points are powering a Wi-Fi system in a 43-story residential high-rise in Chicago. The access points connect to a wireless backbone inside the building to provide Internet access to all residents, while the company’s Mesh Creation Protocol creates self-forming and self-healing non-line-of-sight mesh networks, according to Proxim.
