Wireless meters let building managers track energy use

E-Mon added a wireless mesh communications system for automatic meter-reading devices developed for building management enterprises. The system lets single-phase, multi-tenant facility managers monitor and bill for energy usage that is recorded by the company’s D-Mon Class 1400 meters and software. The meters are equipped with self-configuring, peer-to-peer, multi-hopping wireless transceivers that send data to a wireless gateway accessible via an Ethernet or Internet connection through the company’s software suite.
