Federal Signal technology integrated into smart roadside system

Federal Signal’s Safety and Security Systems Group announced that its PIPS wireless automated license plate recognition technology has been deployed by Intelligent Imaging Systems (IIS) of Alberta, Canada. IIS incorporated the PIPS technology into its Smart Roadside Inspection Systems solution that integrates radiation detection, thermal imaging, digital video and other technologies to test for hazardous materials, according to the company.
