Heart center invests in RFID

The Heart Center at Columbus, Ohio, Children’s Hospital has installed a radio frequency identification- enabled inventory management system to store, track, and manage the utilization of high-cost devices and supplies supporting congenital heart care. Developed by Mobile Aspects, the system uses an RFID-tracking architecture to automate charge capture, inventory management and device expiration management.
