S.C. contracts Hughes for statewide broadband Internet

Hughes Network Systems will provide satellite broadband Internet service to South Carolina state and local government offices after receiving a contract by the state’s Division of State Information Technology (DSIT). This Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract is for seven years.
Under the statewide term contract, Hughes may provide Lot 4 satellite Internet services to support high-speed small office and home-office services. Pricing for Hughes offerings can be located on the DSIT Web site.
