Research firm says femtocells to propagate market

ABI Research predicts that by 2011, 102 million users will deploy femtocells access points, which small cellular base stations used in corporate environments. The firm opines that the technology’s popularity is driven by improved in-building coverage for WCDMA and HSDPA technologies and by demands for fixed-mobile, convergence services platforms.
