Forum adds ultra-wideband support to USB specs

The USB Implementers Forum will add support for ultra-wideband frequencies above 6 GHz to the wireless USB specification by mid-2007, as an addition to its existing support for frequencies below 5 GHz. The forum consists of seven companies, including Agere Systems, Hewlett Packard, Intel, Microsoft, NEC Electronics, NXP Semiconductors and Samsung.
