Fire chief association calls for Cyren Call proposal consideration

Sep 7, 2006 9:34 AM

The Maryland Fire Chiefs Association recently submitted a letter to FCC Chairman Kevin J. Martin in support of Cyren Call Communications’ proposal to build a nationwide public-safety-grade broadband network using 30 MHz of 700 MHz spectrum that is currently scheduled to be auctioned in February 2008 . The organization noted that the 24 MHz of 700 MHz scheduled to be released to public safety in 2009 will be insufficient and called for an open proceeding on the proposal.
