Portable system catches satellite data

Cypress Semiconductor launched the single-chip ProC LP, the company’s next-generation programmable radio-system-on-a-chip. According to Cypress, the chip integrates the company’s WirelessUSB LP 2.4-GHz transceiver with its enCoRe II 8-bit Flash micro controller in order to reduce board space requirements for small form-factor wireless human interface devices, such as RF remote controls.
