DHS: Two-thirds of public-safety agencies use interoperable gear

According to a survey by the Department of Homeland Security, almost two-thirds of emergency response agencies across the U.S. use interoperable communications equipment and share equipment with other agencies. The survey was issued to 22,400 randomly selected law enforcement, fire departments and emergency medical service agencies with 6816 agencies responding.
