Qualcomm adds 700 MHz support to tranceivers

Qualcomm announced that the company has added support for CDMA2000 and WCDMA wireless services in the 700 MHz band to its RTR6570 transceiver. The transceiver also supports other frequency bands in the United States, including 850 MHz, 1700-2100 MHz and 1900 MHz for CDMA2000, according to the company. The new bands will be available in 2009.
