Commerce Department announces new chairman

The U.S. Department of Commerce’s Spectrum Advisory Committee appointed Dale Hatfield as chairman. Hatfield is an independent consultant and adjunct professor in the University of Colorado’s Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program. Before that, he served as chief of the FCC’s Office of Engineering and Technology.
