Public-safety associations push for open FCC proceeding on Cyren Call proposal

The New York State Association of Fire Chiefs, the Capitol Region Fire Chiefs Association of Connecticut and the Maryland Fire Chiefs Association followed the lead of the Virginia Fire Chiefs Association by submitting a letter to FCC Chairman Kevin J. Martin in support of Cyren Call Communications’ proposal to build a nationwide public-safety-grade broadband network using 30 MHz of 700 MHz spectrum scheduled to be auctioned in February 2008.
