System on a chip unveiled

Cupertino, Calif.-based Ralink Technology launched the RT2880 system on a chip, a network interface card solution for access-point designs, broadband platforms, Ethernet to Wi-Fi bridges and dual-band concurrent routers. It supports 802.11i security features and the 5GHz and 2.4GHz bands, according to the company.
