Tyco Electronics introduces TETRA base station

Tyco Electronics introduced the MASTR IV Terrestrial Trunked Radio (TETRA) Base Station to power digital trunked radio communications via TETRA. The base station currently operates on the 380, 410 and 450 MHz frequency bands and also supports land mobile radio markets in China and Russia. It is compliant with the TETRA specifications of the European Telecommunications Standards Institute and is scalable from the standard four carriers to an optional eight carriers, according to the company.
