IP video cameras deployed by Michigan public works

Oct 18, 2007 3:52 PM, - MRT

Proxim Wireless installed a broadband wireless security and surveillance network to the city of New Baltimore, Mich. The system uses IP-based video surveillance cameras to monitor the city’s water and wastewater facilities, including water towers, pumping stations and sewerage treatment plants. If a camera detects motion, the system sends an alert and the video feed from the remote locations to the command center using the company’s Tsunami MP.11 Model 4954-R products for point-to-multipoint wireless connections and Tsunami.GX family products for point-to-point wireless links.
