Jul 12, 2002 12:00 PM

The E. F. Johnson Company, Waseca, Minn., has received an order from South Dakota valued at $4.7 million for SmartZone portable and mobile radio products. Included are multi-protocol 5300 series mobile radios and 5100 series portable radios.

Denny Blaine, Johnson’s executive vice president of sales and marketing, said that South Dakota has installed a number of mobile radio products supplied by Johnson in 2001, and that this order brings the new 5100 series portable radio product into the mix for the state’s VHF wide-area radio system.
