(McLean, VA) – EWA has endorsed the first recipient of the EWA-Joseph B. Vestal Endowed Scholarship. The scholarship will be awarded to a student in the College of Business and Public Administration program at Old Dominion University. The Scholarship was established in 2012 at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia, and is intended to provide financial aid to a full time student enrolled in Electrical Engineering Technology or Information Systems Management with intentions to pursue a professional career in wireless applications or telecommunications. Commenting on the student selected, Mark Crosby, President and CEO, EWA, said that EWA “was particularly impressed with the student’s passion to facilitate and enhance daily life experiences through technology advancements and wireless applications.”
The EWA-Joseph B. Vestal Endowed Scholarship was established at Old Dominion University because it is the alma mater of Joseph B. Vestal, named a Distinguished Alumni of ODU (class of 1960).
