Mesh network installed in Macon, Ga.

The city of Macon, Ga., has installed Motorola’s MOTOMESH product for wireless broadband access throughout the municipality. The mesh network will provide wireless access using the 2.4 GHz frequency band for residents and municipal workers and wireless data communications for first responders over the 4.9 GHz public-safety frequencies.
