Software-configurable antenna control unit introduced

Dec 7, 2007 12:47 PM, - MRT

Radio Frequency Systems announced the introduction of the Optimizer Universal, a software-configurable antenna control unit (ACU) that lets network operators monitor and control tower-top operations, either at the tower base or from a network operations center. The formal unveiling of the device, which is part of the company’s Optimizer RT remote tower-top control system, will occur at the Mobile World Congress exhibition to be held in Barcelona, Spain, in February. The solution is designed to save network operators money when executing protocol conversions by eliminating the labor-intensive change out of tower-top ACU hardware, the company said.
