Louisiana ambulance service deploys Radio IP gateway

Radio IP Software recently said that Lafayette, Louisiana-based Acadian Ambulance has deployed its Mobile TCP/IP Gateway as part of a wireless data system upgrade. Acadia had deployed new computer-aided dispatch software that required a TCP/IP connection. Unfortunately, its proprietary radio network was neither IP-enabled, nor provided adequate bandwidth required by the CAD software, which necessitated deployment of the gateway, according to Radio IP.
