Astron introduces DirectConnect antennas

Dec 23, 2003 12:00 PM

Astron Wireless Technologies has introduced a line of antennas dubbed “DirectConnect” that allows the customer to determine the length of coaxial cable and the connector style for the antenna’s termination. This ability eliminates at least two connector points, which reduces antenna installation cost and results in better performance, as added connectors generally result in some measure of decibel loss in a system, said the company. It also eases installation by reducing the number of connector points that must be weather-sealed.
