Color codes provide quick connections

Mar 5, 2004 12:00 PM

Phoenix Contact has added color-coded connections to its Quickon-One connector, making it even easier to terminate sensor wires. Four colors (brown, blue, black and white) have been marked on the connector to correspond with the color code of sensor wire leads. Quickon-One is a two-piece, screwless connection system that utilizes industrialized IDC contacts. The integrated IDC contacts, which provide a gas tight connection, eliminate the potential for lost screws or stray copper strands during the assembly process. In addition, there is no need to worry about screws loosening and intermittent signals as a result of vibration or temperature changes
