EFJohnson partners with contract manufacturer

May 26, 2004 12:00 PM

EFJ, Inc. announced that its EFJohnson subsidiary has entered into a contract-manufacturing partnership with Dallas-based MTI. EFJ Chairman and CEO Michael Jalbert said the partnership would enable EFJohnson to leverage economies of scale offered by MTI, but stressed that EFJohnson would retain control over the manufacture of its products by placing engineering, product planning, testing and quality assurance personnel within MTI’s facilities.

In other news, the company announced that EFJohnson recently received a $500,000 order from a "major international customer" to deploy its Multi-Net repeaters and related infrastructure equipment. The name of the customer was not revealed.
