Report: Intel to invest in Japan Communications

Intel Corp. will invest an unspecified amount of money in Japan Communications, with the announcement expected Thursday, the Wall Street Journal reported today. The Tokyo-based company manufactures wireless connections to the Internet that allow laptop users to connect via Wi-Fi or mobile telephone technologies, while Intel’s Centrino technology enables laptop users to access the Internet wherever a Wi-Fi signal is available, the paper said.
