TPL Communications offers employees company stake

Feb 4, 2004 12:00 PM

With an eye towards future expansion, radio frequency power amplifier manufacturer TPL Communications has launched an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Previous owners Jim Briggs and John Ehret sold their shares to the plan, but will remain with the company in their current roles as CEO and president, respectively. The company’s current management team also will remain in place. “We wanted a plan that would carry on the excellent reputation that TPL Communications has built over the last 30 years,” Ehret said in a statement. “We could not think of a better way than to place the company in the hands of the people who helped get us there.”
