Space-saving interface for dispatch workstations

Feb 29, 2008 11:15 AM, - MRT

Zetron introduced during IWCE 2008 in Las Vegas the Model 4219 audio interface that features a slimmer interface box that can be mounted on, under or behind the desk, or in a 19-inch rack; it also can be used as a stand for an LCD flat-screen monitor. Newly designed speakers provide a heavily weighted, non-skid base for positioning on the desk, or they can be wall-mounted. The speakers offer 5 W power output and a built-in modulation LED that helps dispatchers identify the source speaker.

In addition, Zetron showcased the ZNet tester, which is available free of charge to customers who have purchased the company’s VoIP Radio Dispatch System, IP Fire Station Alerting System or Series 3300 E911 Telephone System. The device lets users test basic connectivity, assess the network’s ability to handle normal data loads—including burst testing of bandwidth, delay, jitter and packet loss, according to the company.
