Raytheon JPS appoints new president

Raytheon JPS Communications named Carl Kist its new president effective August 1. Kist currently is chief financial officer for Raytheon Vision Systems and Precision Technologies & Components in Goleta, Calif., and has been with Raytheon/Texas Instruments for more than 20 years.
He also served as a combat arms officer in the U.S. Army and continues to serve in the U.S. Army Reserves, currently commanding a joint service detachment. Kist holds a bachelor's degree in management from Canisius College in Buffalo, N.Y., and a master's degree in corporate finance from the University of Dallas.
