Energy company to deploy Tait voice and data network

Tait Radio Communications has been awarded a contract with Rapid City, S.D.-headquartered Black Hills Power, a 123-year-old energy company. The contract is for the TaitNet 1327 voice and data network that will be deployed throughout the multi-state utility system, which provides power to more than 63,000 customers in 20 communities. The system will be installed by May and will include Tait's mobile units, portable units, base stations and switches that interface with Avtec Systems' consoles, according to Tait.
