IPC to buy CAD vendor

IPC Information Systems, which provides mission-critical communications systems to the public-safety, government, utility and transportation sectors, announced that it has entered into an agreement to purchase Geo911, a vendor of computer-aided dispatch and law-enforcement records management systems. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. IPC, which is headquartered in Mount Laurel, N.J., said the acquisition would enable it to provide its customers with a single source for all voice and data technologies used in command center operations.
