Kansas police deploy wireless mobile data solution

The Leawood, Kan., police department has deployed in its patrol cars a wireless mobile data solution developed by CDW Government that lets officers complete and transmit reports from the field using their in-vehicle laptop computers, perform tasks such as license plate checks without contacting dispatchers, and monitor the location of other responding officers.
